Extradot.org

Well it has been way to long since I actually made any effort updating the site. I decided to use Wordpress so I don’t have to code the whole site since Collette keeps me occupied. I moved over the old posts and information. I will be getting a theme together for the site when I find time. I do have priorities like Arina’s Gallery help and teaching Matt PHP and all that at Like A Gods Bizarre. Sorry my site but your theme comes last

I do not know what else to say other then I am hoping to keep this up and not let it fall in disarray like I did after Collette came.

We have good news as of 4:38 PM CST on September 13th 2007 We have a new member in the family, Collette Alexis. We were going to build a photos section but we ran out of time so we have a gallery set up instead. The gallery can be found here or through the photos page.

Well, it has been more than a month since I last made a post. Things have been crazy. The baby is doing well. We got the first ultrasound last week. There is a slim chance they are wrong but it looks like the baby is going to be a girl. Since the news we have been feverishly debating over what names we like most. There are two in the running: Collette Alexis and Hanna Elizabeth. The take on the names amongst family has been mixed. Currently we are leaning toward Collette.

The baby has been very active in the last few months. Lisa was pummeled the other night when we went to see a movie. I guess that the last week and a half has been an increase in activity. I have to admit I am excited about the baby after the ultrasound we went out shopping and everything.

Concerning site updates I am going to try to keep up on the news posts and find some time to develop the other sections. I am going to get the ultrasound photos up in the next several days. Aside from all that We are excited and plan on keeping you all posted as things progress.

Yesterday was the first appointment for the pregnancy. We got to hear the heart beat and everything. We found out that we are going to be going in for checkups every five weeks. So expect updates at least that often. So far we are about at the two month mark. Even though the doctor didn’t tell us an exact date we know that it is going to be in September.

We got a bunch of materials to read through and now we have to sign up for some classes. Here I thought I was done with classes. I am very excited as is Lisa. Last week we found that the crib and changing table that we wanted was on sale so we already got that. Lisa’s parents also gave us some baby cloths, and my mom gave us a stuffed toy. Throughout it all, my dad has been giving us the great wisdom and life lessons he has to share. He gave us advice such as, “don’t eat yellow snow” and “Hugs are a great cure for when you are feeling down. Also when you are feeling cold.” We appreciate all the support we are getting from our family and look forward to bringing this new life into the world.

We also just had some house guests. Our Friend Kat and her boy came out to look for apartments and everything. They are going to be moving out here in several months. Overall it has been a very busy week and an insanely fast month.

In the next two weeks I am hoping to get the entry interface done for this page so Lisa can do her own updates as well.

Well I thought I would start by saying welcome to Extradot.org. We are going to be working hard in the coming months to get this site up and running. Why you ask, because we are going to be having a baby. We will be using this site as a window into our life and the life of our baby.

We found out about the baby a week ago. Since the news we have be frantically figuring out what we are going to do. The first thing I thought was it would be nice for family to have a way to easily find things like pictures and news about how things are going. This determination is the rebirth of Extradot.org.

I hope to have many more posts such as this one as we track the progress of the baby. Other than that I really don’t have much else to say. I hope you enjoy the site and check back often.
